It all happened a long time ago when I told myself that some day in the future I will want to turn off my sewing machines and just focus of my garden, which is something just for me.
Well I am almost there. I have cut back on my classes over the summer and am only sewing consignment projects. I will see how that works towards accomplishing my goal.
On a side note, approx. 100 people came to view my yard during the Vernon Garden Tour and it was a tremendous hit, being titled 'a little Oasis'.
Before I can hang up my shingle completely I have one problem, and no, it has nothing to do with sewing or teaching. I have collected a large number of terrific garments purchased to use as copies (plus a bunch made by me), along with purses, shoes, and assorted jewelry, all to compliment the garments, that need to cleared out. I know my strengths are sewing and teaching, but one thing I am not good at is selling. Whether it be on the 'buy and sell' networks, social media or even the Friday Night Market at Polson Park, which I know are easy and effective marketing tools, I get stressed out even at the thought of using the computer and I am too old to work a booth.
All of this being said, I am offering you an opportunity to come over and check out this collection, and maybe make me a reasonable offer to buy an item or two for yourself to help me out. I am not putting price tags on anything. My fabric stash, from which many of you have already made selections, know how extensive it is. And its' value, immeasurable.
Make an appointment by text, email, or phone, and do it soon while the selection is still extensive. OR -
HERE'S A NOVEL IDEA
